1. CONTRACT
OF HIRE. The contract
of hire shall be between the Holidaymaker and the Property Owner and subject to
the Conditions of Hire. The contract of hire is not effective
until written confirmation of the booking is dispatched to the
holidaymaker.
2. PRICES.
All rents are quoted per property per week - we reserve the right to
amend prices without notice.
3. BOOKING
A HOLIDAY. Provisional
bookings may be made by telephone and must be followed by receipt of
booking form and deposit in our office within three days. For
all bookings a deposit of 30% of total rental is required and until
this deposit is received any reservation made is provisional and may
be varied or cancelled without notice. Please make cheques payable
to SWANSEA VALLEY HOLIDAY COTTAGES. Upon payment of the deposit and
subject to acceptance of the booking the hirer becomes liable for the
balance of the rental. The balance of the rental is due on arrival
at the property. No reminder is normally issued. We reserve
the right to re-let the property if no payment is received on arrival.
4. UNDER 18's.
Bookings will not be accepted from persons under the age of 18. We
reserve the right to refuse bookings solely at our discretion.
5. PETS
(i) Bwthyn Y Saer and Ty Cerbyd. Pets are allowed by arrangement only
and at an extra charge of £15.00 per pet per week. We ask you
to keep pets under strict control. They should not be allowed
in the bedrooms or on the furniture, must not be left unattended in
the cottage and must sleep on bedding provided by the holidaymaker.
Holidaymakers are liable for any damage caused by pets and are asked
to remove all evidence of their pets (e.g. dog hairs) before departure.
(ii) Hafod Y Wennol and Y Stabl. Pets are not allowed.
6. NUMBER OF
PERSONS.
The number of persons using the holiday property is not to exceed the
maximum number stated in the brochure, unless prior agreement has been
reached. The holidaymaker shall not part with possession of the property
or sub-let or share it, except with members of the party shown on the
booking form. We reserve the right to refuse entry to a property
if the maximum number is exceeded.
7. CHILDREN.
The holiday cottages are situated on a working farm next to a
river. Children must be kept under close supervision at all times
and kept away from farm machinery and farm buildings.
8. SMOKING.
No smoking is allowed in any of our properties.
9. LINEN, COTS
& HIGH CHAIRS.
All properties will be furnished and equipped for the number of
people stated on the booking form. Sheets, towels and other
linen are provided free of charge. Cots (supplied with mattresses
but without blankets) and high chairs are available on request and are
provided free of charge.
10. ELECTRICITY AND
HEATING. There is no
additional charge for electricity and central heating.
11. AVAILABILITY.
If the property is unavailable on the day stated due to circumstances
beyond our control all monies paid will be repaid without
question. Every endeavour will be made to find a similar property,
but no further liability will fall upon ourselves.
12. COMPLAINTS.
If the holidaymaker is not satisfied with the accommodation provided he or she
should contact the property owner during the holiday. Complaints
cannot be accepted if made after the holiday. We shall take every
step to ensure that complaints are dealt with speedily. We ask you
to confirm all complaints in writing.
13. BROCHURE
INFORMATION.
The property owner cannot be held responsible for changes which happen
after the brochure is published. We have done our best to ensure
that the information given in the brochure is accurate.
14. CANCELLATION.
In the case of cancellation we will return your rental payment in full,
less your deposit of 30% of the full rent. If we are able to
re-let the property on your behalf, we will return your rental payment
in full (including deposit), less an administration charge of 10% of the
full rent. If cancellation is accompanied by a doctor's
certificate, a full refund will be given.
15. SECURITY.
We cannot guarantee the security of your vehicles or personal
possessions whilst within the curtilage of the property and we cannot be
held liable for loss or damage thereto, from any cause whatsoever.
16.
ACCESS. The
property owner or his/her representative shall be allowed access to the
property at any reasonable time during your stay.
17. CARE OF PROPERTY.
A condition of acceptance of any booking is that the holidaymaker will
take good care of the property and its contents. Holidaymakers will be liable for breakages caused during their occupation,
and will be expected to leave the property (particularly kitchen
utensils and applicances) clean and tidy. Extra cleaning will be
charged for.
18. KEYS.
Keys may be collected from the main farmhouse at any time after 2.30
pm on the day of arrival unless notified to the contrary by the property
owner. They MUST be returned to the main farmhouse before 10.30
am on the day of departure. The holiday cottages will be available
by 2.30 pm on the day of arrival. You are requested to vacate
the property by 10.00 am on the day of departure.
