When travelling to Swansea Valley Holiday Cottages by car, please look out for the brown tourism sign in the village of Rhos and again outside the entrance to the farm drive which is market by two white pillars. It is also sometimes better to use Google Maps to navigate to our business name rather than the postcode which covers a large area as we are in a rural location. If you wish to use What3Words to navigate to the front doorstep of our cottages, here are the addresses:

Local Towns and Villages

Our country cottages enjoy an idyllic, secluded location at the western end of the M4 corridor which runs from London to South Wales. The region is well blessed with amenities and the road network excellent. These are some of the places local to our cottages –

Cilybebyll is a small hamlet (church/farms) with a population of around 100. It is less than a mile away along a winding country road.
Rhos is a small village (post office, pub, convenience store, fish and chips) with a population of around 2,500. It is 1 mile away along a country road.
Pontardawe is a small town (24 hour supermarket, leisure centre, theatre, cinema, pubs, doctor, restaurants) with a population of around 6,000. It is less than 2 miles downhill from the farm, on the valley floor.
Neath is a large market town, 5 miles away, with a population of 60,000.  It has a pedestrianised shopping centre, a traditional covered market and a mainline train station.
Swansea is a major city with a population of 225,000. It has a beautiful seaside setting and things like a national museum, a university, great ice-cream parlours and a Premier League football team! Our cottages are located in the valley, 10 miles north of the city.

The region is well connected with other parts of the UK and convenient to lots of major tourist attractions.  This ease of access, whether travelling from London and the South East of England (via the M4) or the Midlands and the North (via the Heads of the Valley road, M50, M5 and M6), makes Swansea Valley Holiday Cottages an ideal choice for a self catering family or group holiday in South Wales.
